… This past Saturday - October 1st @ the Paramount Theater in Oakland… I became even more than a fan of ESPERANZA SPALDING… not only is her music beautiful - but so is she… if you can sing in portuguese, spanish, and english - that’s 1thing. But if you play as a bassist as well… well damn!
Officially crushing right now* - & as a gangstar - im not ashamed to admit it.
Two hours went by so fluidly w/no intermission - not like I could tell anyways.
14th row away from the stage - sound was crystal clear. So was the view - except 4 homie sitting n front of me w/his mini-fro.
Me & my date lean in closer & closer - getting transported 2 another realm… - then - “HA! HA! WHooo ho!” the couple behind us yelling when a song is over.
Didn’t even want 2 turn around - sounded & felt like they were leaning towards us too - breathing all up on di neck!
Next time Ms. Spalding comes back 2 the bay - best believe we’ll b going again.
